Back To Job OpeningsHill View Montessori Charter Public School is seeking a dedicated Math Teacher to join our dynamic team for the 2025-2026 school year. You will teach one math class daily for each grade level (7th and 8th) and provide targeted intervention to support students’ individual needs. You will also provide small-group math intervention for upper elementary students (primarily 4th-5th grades).
This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is committed to helping students build a strong mathematical foundation and develop critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Instruction:
- Teach one 7th-grade (accelerated) and one 8th-grade math class daily
- Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons using the Illustrative Mathematics (IM curriculum) tailored to meet diverse learning needs
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance students’ mathematical understanding and problem-solving abilities
- Student Intervention:
- Provide small-group math intervention for upper elementary students requiring extra support
- Collaborate with lead teachers and specialists to develop a schedule and plan for interventions
- Accelerated Instruction:
- Prepare 7th-grade students in the accelerated math course for success in 8th-grade algebra
- Assessment and Feedback:
- Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to families as needed
- Collaboration and Professional Development:
- Partner with colleagues, including classroom teachers and specialists, to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other collaborative opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field
- Teaching certification for middle school math (preferred)
- Proven experience teaching Math to elementary and middle school students.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Flexibility, warmth, kindness towards children, joyful spirit, and a healthy sense of humor!
