Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
Administer appropriate assessments for initial evaluations and reevaluations Participate in IEP meetings
Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives
Provide individual or group therapy for identified students, as indicated by the IEP
Write tri-annual progress reports
Maintain accurate records for all students on caseload
Conduct informal observations and provide recommendations for students of concern
Collaborate with teachers, parents and staff
Maintain positive communication with parents
Attend weekly in house professional development workshops
Maintain ongoing knowledge of current research-based methods and state regulations in the field of speech-language pathology
Participate in school wide activities/events
Cover lunch and recess when needed
Performing additional duties as requested by the Support Services Director or the Executive Director
Qualifications:
Professional license in Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience with PreK-middle school age children
Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate with other staff
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
