Trustee

The FRCS Board of Trustees oversees Foxborough Regional Charter School and is responsible for accountability in three key areas: (1) adherence to the charter, (2) academic program success, and (3) organizational viability. While the board is accountable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, it does not manage day-to-day operations.

The Governance Committee periodically evaluates the board’s skills and expertise to enhance its effectiveness. Currently, the Board seeks to expand its membership, specifically looking for candidates with experience in areas such as Massachusetts General Law, Human Resource Compliance, Contract Law, facilities management, public relations, community outreach, and fundraising are preferred but not required.

Candidates must possess:

• A commitment to the mission and vision of Foxborough Regional Charter School
• No conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise
• The ability to participate meaningfully in governance
• Skills to engage in candid dialogue, ask difficult questions, and resolve differences collaboratively
• Strong teamwork abilities
• Comfort with diversity
• Attributes such as honesty, courtesy, creativity, open-mindedness, and initiative
• Experience in areas such as Massachusetts General Law, Human Resource Compliance, Contract Law, facilities management, public relations, community outreach, and fundraising is preferred but not required
